Semiconductor Stocks
Description
Semiconductor stocks mean stocks of companies that design, manufacture, or supply chips used in electronic devices.
In simple terms, semiconductor stocks are shares of companies connected to computer chips.
Semiconductor stocks are important because chips are used in computers, smartphones, cars, data centers, AI systems, and many other technologies. Investors often watch them as a signal for technology demand.
For example, companies that make GPUs, memory chips, chip equipment, or chip design tools can be part of the semiconductor industry.
Semiconductor stocks can be volatile. They may benefit from strong demand but can fall sharply when supply grows too fast or demand slows.
