Budget
Description
A budget means a plan for how money will be earned, spent, and saved.
In simple terms, a budget helps you decide where your money should go.
A budget is important because it helps people, businesses, and governments control spending, avoid unnecessary debt, and prepare for future needs. When someone follows a budget, they can better understand their income, expenses, and financial goals.
For example, if a person earns $3,000 a month and plans how much to spend on rent, food, transportation, savings, and entertainment, that plan is a budget.
A budget is not the same as a restriction. A good budget does not only stop people from spending; it helps them use money more intentionally.
