Demand Outlook
Description
Demand outlook means expectations about future customer demand for a company’s products or services.
In simple terms, demand outlook shows whether future buying is expected to be strong or weak.
Demand outlook is important because investors care about future sales, pricing, production, and margins. A weak demand outlook can pressure a stock even if current results are good.
For example, if management says customers are delaying purchases, investors may view the demand outlook as weaker.
Demand outlook is not the same as current revenue. It focuses on expected future demand, not only what has already been sold.
