Subscription Revenue

Description

Subscription revenue means money a company earns from customers who pay regularly for ongoing access to a product or service. In simple terms, subscription revenue is recurring payment revenue from subscribers. Subscription revenue is important because it can be more predictable than one-time sales. Investors often like subscription businesses because they may produce stable revenue and long-term customer relationships. For example, monthly payments for software, streaming services, or online memberships can be subscription revenue. Subscription revenue is not guaranteed forever. Customers can cancel, downgrade, or switch to competitors.
