Stock Market

Description

The stock market is a place where people buy and sell shares of public companies. In simple terms, it is a market for trading pieces of companies. The stock market is important because it helps companies raise money and gives investors a way to participate in company growth. When investors believe companies will do well, stock prices may rise. When they become worried, stock prices may fall. For example, if investors buy and sell shares of companies like Apple, Microsoft, or Tesla, those trades happen in the stock market. The stock market is not the same as the economy. Stock prices can rise even when parts of the economy are weak, and they can fall even when the economy is still growing.
