Mega-Cap Stocks

Description

Mega-cap stocks mean stocks of companies with extremely large market values. In simple terms, mega-cap stocks are shares of the biggest companies in the market. Mega-cap stocks are important because they can heavily influence major indexes like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq. When a few mega-cap stocks move sharply, the whole market index can move with them. For example, companies like Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon, and Alphabet are often considered mega-cap stocks. Mega-cap stocks are not risk-free. Even very large companies can fall if earnings disappoint, valuations become too high, or market conditions change.
