Household Spending
Description
Household spending means the money families or individuals spend on goods and services.
In simple terms, household spending shows how much people are buying for everyday life.
Household spending is important because it helps drive economic activity. When households spend more, businesses may earn more revenue and the economy may grow. When households spend less, the economy may slow down.
For example, spending on groceries, rent, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and entertainment can all be household spending.
