Fed Chair

Description

Fed Chair means the leader of the Federal Reserve Board. In simple terms, the Fed Chair is the main public voice of the Federal Reserve. The Fed Chair is important because their speeches, press conferences, and comments can shape market expectations about interest rates, inflation, and the economy. Investors listen carefully for signs of future policy direction. The Fed Chair does not make decisions alone. Monetary policy decisions are made with other Federal Reserve officials, especially through the FOMC.
